1. As a Bandit, which skills should I get first?
As a bandit, if you want to save money, go for Nimble Body first. If you have lots of money and want to level up yours faster, go for double stab.

2. is it possible to throw knives?
Nope. Though Steely Throwing-Star looks like a kinfe.

3. for a Dagger-thief (planning on going bandit) how useful will moves like double stab, dark sight, disorder be later on? i got nimble maxed out and i don't plan to touch the other two at all...
Double stab is the only attack in 1st job. Max it.
Choose btw dark sight and disorder. Not really a matter.
I personally like dark sight better.

4. How effective is the Steal ability for the Bandit?
Steal is the one you can totally ignore.

5. How does the Savage Blow ability compare to the Double Stab ability?
Savage Blow is one of the coolest skill. You hit one target for 6 times at once very quickly for 80% damage each -> You hit 6 times faster than any one blow of other jobs. 80%*6=480% Downside is that the defence of monsters will afect your damage hit by 6 times as well.

6. If it is good enough i might just forget maxing out double stab...
Well, you better max out double stab.
This is the data
Double Stab:
Mp:14 Attack:130%*2=260%

Savage Blow:
Mp:27 Attack:80%*6=480%

Say, there is a monster which dies when you hit whith double stab once and savage blow once. If you did not max double stab out, you have to use savage blow twice. Ppl still use double stab quite often even in 3rd job. Also double stab is obviously good in 1st job and in 2nd job until you max out Mastery and Savage Blow.

7. the third class(one after bandit) has a shield mastery ability, how worthwhile is that considering the best shield (hopefully the best for now only) that a thief can use is just a Pan Lid?
Shield Mastery is not good currently.

The highest defence of common shield I have ever seen was around 35. (There was a 'legendary' wooden shield which was D of 15 which have not dropped since last year and there was 3 10% scrolls and some 60%s attached to it.) Even with it, shield mastery is not worth yet. However, who knows? There may be a cool shield later on.

8. what skill points do you recommend i spend on at the second job advancement, assassin?
Most ppl followed this.
Mastery 5 - Booster 5 - Critical Strike 30 - Haste 30 - Endure 3 - Drain 30(or 29) and Mastery 20 - Booster 19(or 20)

You must max lucky seven. You will use it even at 3rd job.

9. what skills should I get as a Bandit?
After maxing Dagger Mastery, though it would be better to put 19 first and put the last one much later, you max Savage Blow. You'll like this skill a lot. Than go straight to Haste or put some points in Booster for 5 or 6 to improve your speed. Just forget about Steal skill. That one is absolutely ignorable. Never put more than 2. 1 is for, err for your interest.

10. how good exactly is booster? since you use up hp and mp to use it, im a little iffy about putting skill points on it. and why do ppl usually put only 3 in endure? is it that bad?
The attack speed will be boosted up one step. That's really great, isn't it? You will get exp much quicker and moreover you will train with breaze.-> much fun. Endure(for swordmen. As I said, rougues' one is different.) is that bad. :) You will not stop to regain health. You will use potion. I am sure about it. Moreover, more sp on endure will only reduce the time to regain your health.

11. In the 3rd island, what kind of equipment are sold there? Also, for theives. I noticed that some of the weapons (non-katars mostly) need a small amount of str. At the end, the 2 lvl 30 weapons. 1 requres str, the other doesnt. For the 35+ weapons.. Will be most of them require str, and only some wont? Will Bandits "need" strength in the higher lvls, for weapon requirements? Or those with pure dex/luk rely on staying pure dex/luk without having to worry about not being able to wear equipment that requires. Lastly, is it true that some equipment for warriors, require you NOT to have more then 6luk or else you wont be able to wear it?
There are two types of bandits available.
One is Luck bandits and the other is Streanth bandits.
It is all because there are two types of katars. One type requires Dex and Luck only and the other type requires Str and Dex.

For both types of bandits, the main stat which will boost your damage is LUCK. Dex, or Dex and Str are the stats which you will put in only for the requirements of weapons.

Generally, Strength Katars are faster than Luck Katars but, as you have to put some points in Str, Strength Bandits will not inflict damages as much as Luck Bandits will.

Oh, an importnat thing. There is no Luck Katar for 40 level. ie. There are one for 35 and one for 50.

There is huge difference in speed between two types of 50 level Katars but there isn't much difference in speed between two types in 60 and 70. However, attack power difference should be considered.

One advise. Never put Str and Dex more than required as they will be waste.
ie. Str: Luck Bandit: 4, or whatever your starting stat was.
Strength Bandit: The amount specified by the weapon.

12. Well, right now I'm a lvl 36 Bandit. My dex is 70, and my luck is 120. If I continue going the stat build Im going, since there are no luck/dex katars/dagger for lvl 40, this means the weapon I'll be using up until 50 would be the lvl 35 one, correct? Is it too late, and a bad idea to start adding strength to my bandit in order to compensate for the Strength required to use the 40+ weapons?
It would be very painful while converting and actually Luck Bandits are slightly superior over Str Bandits now.(but dunno about the future story.) Currently it is very bad idea unless you have already put some points in Strength. It is like one way you cannot return. If you start putting some points in strength you cannot go back and become Luck bandit. (or you can simply choose to declare that you wasted stats. You don't want, do you? :P ) Keep going as a Str Bandit if you are a Str Bandit and keep going as a Luck Bandit if you are a Luck Bandit

13. Is the stealing abilility even useful? o___o
As I said, Steal skill is totally ignorable. Don't worry about it. It doesn't hurt even though you forgot accidently that Steal is there. :P

14. How are "better" throwing stars obtained, and what are they, and where?
Better throwing stars are only obtained from monsters.

Wolbi: Fire Boar
Top: Black axed stump
Mokibi: Golem, Jr. Lace(or Lace?)
Snow: dunno
Kumbi: Zombie Lupin, Cold eye
Ice drop: Cold eye
Tobi: Dark Golem
Steely: Red Drake, Tauro Masis
Illbi: Mushmom

I cannot guarantee the exact name nor the drop monsters. Also these are not the exclusive monsters list.

15. when a rouge/thief hits bandit (2nd advance job), Which skill should I go for first?

a. Savage Blow
b. Hang on robe regen
c. Dagger Master

Dagger Mastery then Savage Blow

16. I'm making a Dagger Bandit, I've maxed Double Stab, am going to max Nimble Body, and then put points about 6 points in Dark Sight and the Rest in the Disabling skill, but since I don't use that should I just get Dark Sight up to nearly max?
You can freely choose between Dark Sight and Disorder.

17. Okay, I'm a bit creeped out. Warriors get endure, max level 8. Bandits and Assassins get endure, max level 20. Is Endure, therefore, the rogue substitute for the HP/MP regen passives of Fighters and mages, respectively? I mean, I know I shouldn't bother to put any more points than is absolutely necessary into it, but nonetheless, I am thouroughly intrigued by this possibility.
If you are an assassins, forget about endure. You do not need passive regen skill. Just put 3 points for Drain.
If you are a bandit, because you have Steal not Drain, you better raise Endure rather than wasting on Steal.
Endure for Rogues work like this.
At master level, which is 20, Your HP regen will be +60. That is 70.
Your MP regen will be +20. That is 23.
You can regenerate your HP while you are on ladder. Regen every 10 seconds.

18. what's the pre-requisite skill to get "steal" for a bandit?
Err, I do not really know requirement for Steal even though I have a chief bandit.
Forget about that skill. :P
Why do I hate that skill?

If you use steal, it will not always be successful. -> not 100% even at 30 lv. The things dropped by steal is not any rarer than normal drops. -> If the drop rate for Pan Lid is ,say, 0.0001%, the drop rate for steal is the same. If you succefully 'stole' from a monster, you will see that there is no item dropped from the monster which you stole from.
SO... Steal is a WASTE.

19. so.... no monster drops claws? the only way is to make them?
At least as far as I know, Ganier is dropped from pig or ribbon pig, meba from drake near perion and all the claws for above 50 lv are dropped from monsters.

Actually, you cannot make claws which requires level 60 or above.

20. i'm currently playing a thief and I want to become an assassin, well, when i level up i put my 5 points into either luck or dex, and i keep them even, so should I keep doing this? or should I raise one higher then the other?
Check the stats on your weapons for the next few levels, a point spread of 2 dex-3 luck is going to be your best friend.

21. does bandits damage ever become decent compared to other classes ?
After you max Mastery and Savage Blow, it becomes decent and very stable. Stable is important and you will know this. :)

22. does critical throw work on lucky seven? meaning can you thorw a critical lucky seven?
Critical works really well with Lucky Seven.

23. At higher levels, how do assassins measure up against bandits (Damage-wise, money-wise, can they kill mobs, basically are they viable)? And what kind of skills do assassins get in their 3rd job? I'm just wanting to know if it's completely a waste of time. I've heard Assassins are really good, but extremely expensive, and I've heard that bandits are better than assassins.
Assassins are really good. In fact, one of the best job in Maplestory. It is one of the most powerful and richest job. Your lucky seven's attack power is boosted by Critical Attack at 2nd job and boosted again by Shadow Partner at 3rd job.

3rd skills are,
Shadow Partner: Summon a shadow which mimics your action. Basically, your attack power is boosted by certain percentage for certain time. Requires 1 Summon Stone to cast.
Shadow Meso: Throw certain amounts of meso with certain percentage to make your attack damage several times more powerful.
Shadow Web: Stops 6 targets for certain seconds.
?: Attacks up to 6 targets. Forgot the name.
Flash Jump: You can jump forward while you are in the air after your first jump. Like double jump. This is as sensational as Teleport.
Meso Up: The amount of meso dropped from monsters are increased by certain percentage.
Alchemist: The amount you recover by potions will be increased by certain percentage and the period of potions will be increased by certain percentage.

Assassins become one of the most powerful just after you max Critical Throw. Assassins become one of the richest just after you put one point in Drain.

(Do not ever try put Drain early though. Drain does not work well without Critical Throw and Mastery.) Assassins cost a lot of mesos in early level but the reward is sweet. :)

24. I found some Icicles. I'd like to know if Javelin Mastery effects them? I hear it doesn;t because they're not stars. If they don't, then should I max out Critical Throw before Javelin Mastery? Maybe by then I'll have better stars.
You are right. Javelin Mastery does not affect Lucky Seven at all. However it is not because Throwing Stars are not Javelin but because Lucky Seven specifies that it is not affected by Javelin Mastery. Drain is affected by Javelin Mastery. Also Javelin Booster affects your throwing speed of course. :)

25. I want to know if javelin booster affects throwing weapons that aren't stars. Like, does it increase damage of snowballs, wooden tops, iciciles? Or only stars like mokbi, kumbi, etc.
Whatever you throw is affected by Javelin skills.

26. do you know how exactly Lucky 7 is calculated?
I don't know how Lucky 7 is calculated.
Damage is greatly related to sum of all attack of your gauntlet and claw.
Then also it is affected by your Luk.

27. Bowman is slightly more powerful than Assassin but Assassin is much faster than Bowman.
Speed in terms of attacking and moving.
You have to use Lucky7. It is true that mana cost of lucky7 is huge compared to 3 MP regen per 10 seconds. Be patient and then you will get Drain. You will rarely use HP potion.
Endure: 3/20 -> for Drain
Drain: Close to max.
Increasing Drain's level only increases the chance and damage, but it also increases MP cost. However, the more damage mean more HP recovery.

Do in the order you wish but as far as I remember, Critical Throw requires 5 Mastery. Also, you will find training much faster with Booster. Get around 5 booster early.

28. Is it better for assassins to have more points in endure or drain?
I really recommend to put more points in Drain than Endure.
Endure regenerates 20 MPs for 10 seconds at max level.
It saves you 40 mesos for every 10 seconds. Looks great.
However, when you use Drain you can recover hundreds of HP for around 30, or 20, MP.
You can save hundreds of mesos instantly and frequently if you like.
I am telling you, Assassin earns a lot of money because of Drain.
Drain is the skill which every other job wants to have and it is the skill which prevent you making loss while the others are making loss. You do not have to worry about money at all after you get Drain 1. (Don't ever think about putting Drain 1 in early level since it does not work well without Critical Strike.)

It is the same reason that you max Lucky 7 not up to 10 only. It is much better to max Drain than leave it around 10 since it is related to your training speed. Also as Drain will be your main recovery skill, it is more safe to have more powerful Drain so that you can recover much in the same period to avoid death.

29. Should i max haste?
Haste should be maxed. Faster moving speed and higher jump makes faster training.

30. how does criticle strike affect lucky 7? does it give each hit in lucky 7 to have a CHANCE to do crit dmg. or does it just plain stack and u do criticle dmg EVERY hit?
Critical Strike gives each hit in lucky 7 to have a chance to do critical damage.

31. since meba is the only claw with an attack speed of faster, would it be smart to use 7 100% on it, to get a high atk weapon with a faster speed?
If you can afford it, it is good to put 7 100% on meba. Actually, many ppl do that.

32. I'm not sure, I just read from a Japanese site that at max, Drain gives you 160% damage and 60% chance to drain. 102% damage and 30% chance at level 1. And, if you use Lucky 7 while having Critical Throw, you get 2 chances(2 shots from Lucky 7) to deal a critical blow.
Drain at max level, 160% damage and 60% of HP recovery from your damage.(not 60% chance. It is always 100% success rate of conversion.)

Say your damage on your stat is 800~1200 and happened to be 1000 on this time.
Damage:1000*160%=1600
HP Recovered:1600*60%=960
By the way, Drain is both affected by Mastery and Critical.

33. so, 7 100% scrolls on a faster level 25 claw is better than 7 100% scrolls on level 50 claw? the speed diff is really worth it?
Oh, that should not be understood in that way.
lv 25 claws with 7 scrolls are obviously better than normal 30, 35, 40 claws.(More powerful & faster)
lv 25 claws with 7 scrolls are probably better than 30,35 claws with 7 scrolls.(Less powerful but faster)
Also, wouldn't it be too inconvinient to make claws every 5 levels?(Applicable to low levels only.)
However, lv 40 claws with scrolls will be worth more than lv 25 claws with 7 scrolls.

34. I remember someone doing a load of different skills, and I noticed that the Assassins and Bandits get Endure. The listing that guy made said it went up to 20, yet MapleGlobal says it goes to 30. Which is correct? And if so, what are the skill breakdowns, or at least, what's the time to regen, HP/MP regenerated at skill level 30?
The site is wrong. Endure requires 20 to max. Ignore Steal. It works like this. When you use it, the item pop out of the monster. Steal sucks because,
A. After you succeed stealing, the monster will not drop anything.(You will kill the monster anyway, won't you?)
B. Someone may steal your poped item.
C. It requires 30 to max.
C. It does not have 100% chance even at 30.

35. NONE of the STR daggers after L.30 have a speed of "faster", but are merely "fast" just like their Luck dagger counterparts. In fact, the L.40 Luck dagger (Pet Bottle) is FASTER than the L.40 STR dagger (Bazlud, which I know for a FACT to be only "fast"). Everything after L.30 is only "fast." This is making me very worried, as my L.38 Bandit has 25 points in STR...
Not all the "faster" are the same and not all the "fast" are the same. For instance, Both Lv50 daggers are fast. The speed of Str Dagger is faster than that of Luk Dagger already, and if you use Booster, the speed of Str Dagger gets much faster when you use Savage but the speed of Luk Dagger does not seem to imporve at all when you use savage.
