Classes_-_General

1. Will classes balance out over time? Right now it seems like the 'easy' order of the classes are Magician > Bowman > Warrior > Thief ... But I know that Wizards/Clerics don't get any kind of weapon mastery like all the others.
The balance changes all over the time as you level up. Bandit and archers are the hardiest, not does throwing-thieves. You'll find it easier to train since they can shoot while they are in the air, ie. uninterrupted.

2. Is cleric equally popular in KMS?
Yes. Heal rocks and also Exp boost in 3rd rocks as well.

3. I want to be a paladin, what weapon should i use?mace or sword, considering long-term use..
Sword does average damage and Mace does greater damage with swing motion but less with pierce motion. I don't know for EMS but in KMS most ppl became sword users and it made all swords and swords scrolls more expensive than maces or axes. (10~50 times more expensive...) You will like sword more because it looks better?! -> this is what ppl think. :) I would choose to go maces. Cheaper means you can afford much better item at the same price.

4. Can you control whether you slash or stab?
You cannot control. It is random.

5. Does luck affect drops?
As far as I know Luck does not affect drops. All the rougues will have very high luck but they do not get more items than the other. (If it affects, there should be huge difference in drops since Worriors and Archers: around 4 Lucks Thieves: hundreds of Lucks there was no difference.)

6. What does hands do?
As far as I know, hand stat does not do anything. It is just sum of all stats of Str, Dex, Int and Luk. I guess it is not implemented or just there for a reference.

7. I'd like to ask about weapon mastery. The skill Axe Mastery at level 1 gives "axe mastery 15%." Does this mean that my damage when using axes increases by 15%? And does the bonus apply when I'm using skills? Like, would this increase my level 20 Power Strike damage by 15% in addition to the 260%?
OK, mastery works like this.
If your attack in stat shows, 30~ 300 and now you put 1 in mastery.
It will be (300*15%+min damage increaded by Dex) ~ 300.
So your average attack power will be increased and this is the reason that you should not bother Dex too much only for your min damage.
Power Strike, and every other skills in percentage works like this.
If your attack in stat shows, 200~400,
if you use Power Strike which is 260%, you get 520~1040 minus the defence of the target.
So, of course, mastery affects all the skill as well.

8. Will there be skills or equipment that raise item droprates or something?
There is currently no skills nor items which increase drop rates.

9. Can Cleric's Bless, Invincibility, Mage's Magic Guard and Magic Armor stack? Or is there one that cancels the others?
Bless, Invincibility and Magic Guard stack.
Magic Armor, Invincibility and Magic Guard stack.
Magic Armor and Bless do not stack.
The relationship btw Bless and Magic Armor is just like that btw Iron wall and Iron Body.
Say, you maxed both.
If you use bless first(AD+20,MD+20,Avoid+20, Accu+20 now) and use Magic Aromor later(AD+40),it will be AD+40, MD+20, Avoid+20, Accu+20.
If you use Armor first(AD+40 now) and then bless later, it will be AD+20, MD+20, Avoid+20, Accu+20.

It just like that. the amount does not matter. How big, negative or positve does not matter. As long as both the potions or skills affect the same stat, the later one will take effect.
By the way, simple trick to avoid Fury takes down your MD.
When Fury is maxed, your attack will be incresed by 10 and AD will be decreased by 20.(+10 attack, -20 AD now) If you use iron body level 1(+2 Ad for several seconds), you get +2 AD, +10 attack and after several seconds you get +0 Ad and +10 attack. :)

This is for non-magicians. Err, by the way, attack stated in weapon, gloves, potions and skills are different from attack stated in your stat. You will see later, if you increase 10 attack in those and you will see 100s or more incresed in attack in your stat.

10. should I buy extra HP/MP?
Err, ppl in KMS never put stats in HP/MP. They think it is wasting your stats and I am a guy from KMS.

11. So, does Teleport make the jumping quests really really really easy? Or can you not use that sort of magic on it?
The following skills will not do anything or you are not allowed to use them in jumping quests.
haste, teleport, potions which increase your speed, speed and jump stats attached to your pet accessory and speed and jump stats in your armour and your shoes.

12. Does skill points transfer over when you advance a job. (example: Get to lvl 10, don't spend a single skill point. Get to lvl 30, use the skill points saved from lvl 10-30 after changing to 2nd advancement.)
No. You will not be allowed to advance if you have skill points left.

13. Are 4th jobs in the game yet?
4th are not in game yet. However, you have to know that ppl have been more than a year and there are only a few, 2~3 I guess, who is above 120. Do not worry. When you are around 120, there will be 4th. :)

14. What are the job changing levels. (example: Lvl 8-10 from beginner to main stead job. -> level 30 to 2nd adv -> level ??? to 3rd adv -> Level ??? to 4th adv).
1st: 8 for magicians, 10 for the others
2nd: 30
3rd: 70
4th: 120

15. Okay, I'm a bit creeped out. Warriors get endure, max level 8. Bandits and Assassins get endure, max level 20. Is Endure, therefore, the rogue substitute for the HP/MP regen passives of Fighters and mages, respectively? I mean, I know I shouldn't bother to put any more points than is absolutely necessary into it, but nonetheless, I am thouroughly intrigued by this possibility.
If you are an assassins, forget about endure. You do not need passive regen skill. Just put 3 points for Drain.
If you are a bandit, because you have Steal not Drain, you better raise Endure rather than wasting on Steal.
Endure for Rogues work like this.
At master level, which is 20, Your HP regen will be +60. That is 70.
Your MP regen will be +20. That is 23.
You can regenerate your HP while you are on ladder. Regen every 10 seconds.

16. Why would you stop leveling mastery at level 19? You're so close!
The thing with mastery, if you look at it, is that every point into it increases accuracy 1 point. Every other point into it increases mastery 5%. At 19, you'll have your maximum mastery (60%) and +19 Accuracy. The only thing that next skill point gets you is +1 accuracy. That's why you don't get it to 20 right then. You can do it much later, and it won't matter. Those early levels, when you're maxing mastery and getting your skills you'll be using for the next bunch of levels, you'll want to maximize the use of each point to speed up the attainment of said levels, am I right?

17. What's the difference between sword and axe? Are axes rarer than swords? Are they less popular? I want to be an axe fighter, that's why I ask.
Axe is cheaper than sword.
Axe has higher maximum damage but also lower minimum damage than sword.
Axe is slower than sword.
It may be wise to use axe since sword will be much much more expensive than axe.

18. Low level 2-handed Axes and Polearms have the same power, but not speed. Does the damage stay the same forever?
Nope.

50 Double-Handed Axe: Attack 67~77; Slow
60 Double-Handed Axe: Attack 77~87; Normal
70 Double-Handed Axe: Attack 82~92; Slow

50 PoleArm: Attack 67~77; Normal
60 PoleArm: Attack 77~87; Slow
70 PoleArm: Attack 82~92; Slow

Also, there were event items, 6 Snow Boards, which were of level 10, 20, 30 to 70, had slightly less attack power than their corresponding polearms but with speed of normal.

19. When I was still a beginner warrior, I put 1 point into health and 1 point into luck, and now I can't wear max equipment when Im 25, I can either level 3 more times, putting all points into dex (Im level 23) and get enough dexterity to use the Illoon, or level twice and put all points into strength and be able to use all the armor
What should I do? And also is this Supposed to happen?
Also, if this concerns this, I made the Warrior change one level late, becoming a warrior at level 11 because I didn't have enough strength

Always go for weapon if you do not have enough stat and/or meso.

20. I know the site mentions it, but do you really get to save your sp for the third job or do I have to use up all my SP when I change jobs at level 70?
You have to spend all the sp to change jobs at level 70. I and many other people tried to save some but did not work at all. :)

21. Where is the second job advancement for warriors?
oh, and about the warrior guy... you go 2 west from Perion, then exit through the alternate portal (near the top of the screen)... work your way up through a couple areas of that side route (called West Rocky Mountain, btw) and you find the second warrior master near the top of one of the screens

22. Where can i find a list for all 3rd job skills?
you can find a list of them here

23. Bowman is slightly more powerful than Assassin but Assassin is much faster than Bowman.
Speed in terms of attacking and moving.
You have to use Lucky7. It is true that mana cost of lucky7 is huge compared to 3 MP regen per 10 seconds. Be patient and then you will get Drain. You will rarely use HP potion.
Endure: 3/20 -> for Drain
Drain: Close to max.
Increasing Drain's level only increases the chance and damage, but it also increases MP cost. However, the more damage mean more HP recovery.

Do in the order you wish but as far as I remember, Critical Throw requires 5 Mastery. Also, you will find training much faster with Booster. Get around 5 booster early.

24. How many monsters are actaully weak against Ice / Lightning? There's little to none compare to the numbers of weak to fires as far as I know... Maybe in 3rd island? Is there more?
weak against ice: Fire Boar, Red Drake, Fire Dog
weak against lightning: Clang, Lorang in Florina Beach.

25. What are the differences between maces and swords, and has it been established which type is superior over the other? or are they both about the same in terms of usefulness? thanks again ;D
Swords = stable, faster and maybe looking better
Mace = More powerful. Much cheaper.
There is a known issure right now that 80 TH maces are not dropped well. So, mace is slightly inferior to swords.
(However, you may be interested in this that, Mace is around 10 times cheaper than swords and Mace scrolls are more than 10 times cheaper than swords.)

26. can u raise defence by lv up? or it can only be raise by equipping item?
Defence can only be raised by stats on equipments and sometimes on weapons.
